BOISE - The Prosser (Washington) High School head football coach is stepping down. That fact isn't generally big news in Boise - but Coach Tom Moore's sons are well known in the Boise area: Kellen and Kirby Moore.
Kellen is the freshman quarterback for the Boise State University football team, and his little brother Kirby has also signed on to play for the Broncos.
Tom Moore coached the Prosser football team for 22 years - but now he tells NBC affiliate KNDO that he doesn't want to miss the next few years of action in Boise.
"We're just not going to miss our kids playing and last year I missed 3 games and I'm not going to miss 3 games for the next 4 years," Tom said.
He says he's not only proud of his sons - but of the program he built in Prosser.
"I think the best thing we've done is we've been pretty consistent," Tom said. "We've been consistently pretty good. We haven't been a real rollercoaster team. The last couple years, especially getting to coach my own sons, has been tremendous."
