ARCO, Idaho -- Government contractors and representatives at a southeastern Idaho nuclear site say there was no release of radiation and there's no risk to the public following a fire on Friday.
Authorities say a small fire in a building at the Advanced Mixed Waste Treatment Project on Friday was declared extinguished just before 9 p.m.
The building specified isn't owned or operated by the nearby Idaho National Laboratory, but is operated as a separate entity by the United States Department of Energy.
Authorities say it's unclear how many workers had to be evacuated from building 676 because of the fire.
Authorities say the building wasn't seriously damaged and air and ground samples around the building found no release of radiation.
