BOISE -- New data shows Idaho household income is on the rebound.
According to Census Bureau estimates, the state's median household income jumped 5 percent from 2011 to 2012 to $45,489.
That means half of Idaho's 580,000 households had incomes higher than that number, and half had lower incomes.
Last year's increase ended a three-year slide in which the state's median household income dropped 8.9 percent -- one of the worst recession losses in the nation.
Idaho ranks 37th among the states and the District of Columbia.
