BOISE -- If you've driven down Capitol Boulevard in the last six months, you probably noticed the road project on Capitol Bridge.

Good news for commuters: the project is nearly complete and a city spokesperson tells KTVB that work crews have wrapped up the painting portion of the project.

The top side of the bridge was painted over the summer, while the underside was painted this fall.

There have been intermittent lane closures since the project began in May.

KTVB is told that now while the major work is done, the city still needs to finish some lighting, which will be done this winter or in the spring.

A re-dedication of the bridge is planned in conjunction with Boise's 150 Celebration.

And in case you were wondering, the new color of the bridge railings is Ivory Lace, which is the original color from when the bridge was built in the 1930s.
