Chef Lou's Smoked Sausage Squares
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter or oil
- 1 Pound diced Cooked Smoked Sausage, your preference
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 cups biscuit mix
- 2/3 cup Milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup grated Swiss cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
- 2 tbsp. chopped parsley
- 1-1/2 teaspoon salt
- dash hot sauce
Method
Brown the sausage and onion in skillet. Don’t drain the sausage and onion! Mix in all the remaining ingredients except the Parmesan cheese. Pour into a greased 8 X 12 baking dish. Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over top. Bake in a preheated 375-degree oven for 40-45 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool for 10-15 minutes. Cut into 2” X 2” squares. Spread red or green jalapeno jelly over top.
