Strawberries, halved or quartered
Seedless grapes, whole
Cantaloupe and/or Honeydew melon balls
Apricots, seeded and quartered
Bananas, sliced about 1/2-inch thick
Tip: Don't add the bananas until just before serving.
1 cup broken nuts (optional)
"Broken" indicates smaller than whole, but larger than chopped; pieces.
Combine the fruits in a large bowl. Gently stir in the nuts and the Honey-Lime Dressing, below.
1/3-cup fresh limejuice
Zest of 1 lime, grated
3/4 cup honey
Combine all the dressing ingredients and fold into the fruit salad.
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 1/4 cups milk
3 tablespoons butter, melted
