Scott Evans joined Idaho's News Channel 7 in June of 2007, and is thrilled to be a part of the KTVB News Group.

Scott was born in Boise, and grew up in Utah. He loves the mountain west and is drawn to journalism because of his parents. Both of whom spent time in Idaho as television anchors in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s.

Scott received a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He has also worked in Salt Lake City as a producer for KSL-TV's award-winning investigative unit. Scott has received several awards for his stories that range from a toddler that survived a pencil going through his throat, to exposing the business practices of a large home builder, to stories that tug on the heart strings. But the stories he loves the most are the ones where he can get out and tell the stories of the people of Idaho.

Scott has had a wide variety of life experiences including building and repairing homes in Mexico for under privileged families, and serving for two years as a volunteer representative for his church in Brazil and California.

When he is not working Scott loves to spend time with his wife and four children. When he’s not working or with them, he’s doing something active.

And now that he's back in Boise where it all began, he feels he has come home to his roots.
