Bonnie Shelton

Bonnie Shelton joined the KTVB news team in August 2013 as a reporter. She comes to Boise from Wausau, Wisconsin where she worked as the station's weekend anchor and nightside reporter.

While in Wisconsin, Bonnie covered the historic recall of Governor Scott Walker and the Oak Creek sikh temple shooting in Brookfield. She also reported live from the scene of several devastating tornadoes and covered many Wisconsin sports teams, including the Green Bay Packers. She won a Wisconsin Broadcaster's Association first place award for her coverage of the Honor Flight, which has helped hundreds of central Wisconsin veterans travel to Washington D.C. to see the monuments built in their honor.

Bonnie graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Oregon with a degree in broadcast journalism. She completed several internships during her time at the U of O, including at CBS News in New York working for the network's investigative unit.

Born and raised near Portland, Oregon, Bonnie is happy to be living and working on the west coast. In her spare time, she enjoys watching old movies, hiking and cheering on the Oregon Ducks. If you have a story idea, Bonnie would love to hear it.
