Karen Zatkulak

Karen is excited to join the KTVB team as a reporter.

She moved from Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she spent five years working for WTVC. Karen began her career at an independent station in Northwest Georgia, after graduating from the University of South Carolina.

While working at WTVC, she covered former President Bush’s visit to Chattanooga, questioned city leaders response to the growing gang issue, and reported on a special visit by ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition.

She also covered the devastating tornadoes of 2011 in Tennessee and Georgia. Karen then featured many community members who came forward to help others during the tragic time in a series called Storm Heroes.

She is an avid runner, die hard football fan, and loves white water rafting.

Karen looks forward to meeting many people in Idaho and telling their stories. She moved to Boise with her husband, and they’re both excited to explore all the outdoor adventures that the area has to offer.
