Stephanie Zepelin is thrilled to be working for Idaho’s NewsChannel 7. She comes to the Treasure Valley from the Rio Grande Valley. She worked in Weslaco, Texas, located on the US-Mexico border. There she worked for KRGV-TV5 where she reported on illegal immigration, the narcotics trade, human trafficking, and the drug war in Mexico.
Previously, she worked in Columbia, Missouri where she was a multi-platform reporter and anchor for KOMU-TV8. Earlier she reported for the Columbia NPR affiliate, KBIA-FM. She uses social media in her reporting and is experienced in computer-assisted database reporting. Stephanie speaks conversational Spanish.
Stephanie graduated Cum Laude from the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism, where she was also an Honors College student with an emphasis in multi-cultural studies. She is also a big fan of the Missouri Tigers. MIZ! ZOU!
Stephanie was raised in Denver, Colorado and is thrilled to be back in the Mountain West. She has always been a Broncos fan -- even if it was the Denver Broncos. Now the Colorado native is ready to cheer on the orange and blue of Boise State.
You can find Stephanie on Facebook and Twitter, or e-mail her at firstname.lastname@example.org. She would love to hear from you and hopes you will share your ideas, or just say hi.
