BOISE -- Thousands will flood the streets of Boise on Saturday, September 22, for one of the largest women's 5k walk-runs in the country. The St. Luke's Women's Fitness Celebration is expected to host thousands of participants, and that means Boise's downtown is bound to be busy.

9:10 - Blue or Purple - Coin flip

Online registration for the race is now closed. But if you did not get the chance to register yet, there are still a few ways for you to sign up!
Participants can register at the Celebration Women's Show on September 22 & 23 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Boise Centre.
If you cannot make it to the women's show, you can register on race day. There will be a late registration booth in Capitol Park. It opens at 7 a.m.
If you have already registered for the race, you can pick up your number and race day information at the Celebration Women's Show on Thurs. and Fri. Sept. 21 and Sept. 22 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Boise Centre.
For people picking up their packets, admission to the women's show is free if you bring a printed copy of your registration confirmation. You can have a friend pick up your packet for you, but if they do, you will be missing out on a great event!
For anyone else who wants to scope out the women's show, admission is $3 at the door.
Parking downtown will be tricky since the Saturday Market will be happening at about the same time as the fitness celebration. To avoid parking frustration, the celebration will be providing multiple shuttles to help get people to and from the event from around the Treasure Valley.
Shuttles from Boise, Eagle, Nampa, and the Treasure Valley Marketplace are only available with a reservation and those are now booked.
But there are still shuttles that will run from the Boise Towne Square Mall without a reservation.
Participants can park at the mall and hop on a shuttle that will leave from the Boise Towne Square Mall at various times between 6:45 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. Following the event, the shuttle will begin taking people back to the mall from Ann Morrison park east of the fountain at 10 a.m.
Parking downtown will be limited, and certain streets will be blocked off for the race and the Saturday market. Please remember, if you are parking in the street or in residential areas, do so legally.
Many roads are being closed off in preparation for the 5k walk-run Saturday morning. The Celebration folks encourage people traveling east to west to use State Street rather than trying to go through downtown Boise.
Access to Ann Morrison Park will be closed after 9 p.m. Friday.
Here is a list of road closures and what time the closure will take effect:
- 8th Street will be closed from State Street to Bannock. (Additional closures in place for Saturday Market.)

If you have participated in the Women's Fitness Celebration in years past, you will notice the starting line moved in 2011.
The starting line is now located closer to the Statehouse on Bannock between 8th Street and 6th Street. This is to help make sure everyone can see and hear the announcements made before the race.
When you cross the finish line, you will be rewarded with a healthy breakfast, live music, and awards! The finish line will be on Americana Boulevard, near the entrance of Ann Morrison Park.
If you are wearing a timing chip, you will be asked to head to the collection bin area and then remove your chip.
KTVB will bring the team leaders on stage beginning at 8 a.m. to make sure they get the recognition they deserve for organizing their teams and supporting such a great cause. Get there early to cheer on your team leaders!
The top three winners in the Elite Run, Top 5 Elite Wheelchairs, and Racewalk Exhibition will be announced from the awards stage in Ann Morrison Park.
