BOISE -- Zombie brides. Zombie heroes. Zombie kids. Zombie moms and dads. Zombies of all kinds staggered out of Julia Davis Park for the annual Boise Zombie Walk. The event began with a zombie gathering featuring games for kids and adults. At sundown the zombie procession shuffled its way through downtown Boise.
Before AMC's The Walking Dead spiked popular preoccupation with the theater of the undead, the Boise Zombie Walk were lurching through the city on one October night each year to the surprise and amusement of bystanders. The pre-Halloween event attracts participants with a flair for latex makeup effects and macabre costume design. This year's looks are featured in the slideshow.
