BOISE -- With water levels running high, you might want to think twice before jumping into one of Idaho's rivers.
Many of the rivers are either at or near flood stage - meaning the water is moving fast.
Kenneth Long with Cascade Raft Company says another factor on the rivers right now is temperature.
Even once the water levels recede, the water is still extremely cold.
"With the spring time and the unpredictability of the runoff, conditions change very quickly. It's really important that you're aware of the conditions and how quickly they can change and have the skill level and the base knowledge to handle those conditions appropriately," said Long.
Proper equipment, helmets, life jackets and wet or dry suits are wise to have with you while on the river.
