CALDWELL -- Renovation is complete on the intensive care unit at West Valley Medical Center.

A grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony was held at the Caldwell facility Wednesday.

The new ICU will provide patients with larger rooms and doctors will be using the best equipment available.

CEO Julie Taylor says patients can expect the same level of quality as a big city hospital.

“It's really great to have a state-of-the-art environment right here in Caldwell. And honestly if you haven't seen West Valley in the last two years, you haven't seen West Valley. We are bigger and better than ever before,” said Taylor.

The renovation project cost $3 million.

It will add 12 new jobs and will officially open to patients in June.
