GARDEN CITY -- Expo Idaho has gone to the dogs - some of the top dogs in the nation, actually.
The Treasure Valley Dog Show runs through Sunday at the fairgrounds. The dogs are competing in conformation - or the "beauty contest" - agility and obedience.
"This is kind of a destination show for dog people in the fall," said Carla Giroux, the dog show's chairwoman. "We have a lovely venue here in Boise. we draw top dogs from all breeds from all over the western states.
You're invited to get an up-close look at the dogs, and talk with participants, but you can't bring your own dog to the show.
The show opens at 8:30 Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings. Admission is $5 per person, or $10 per family.
