BOISE -- Classic cars from an older era, and even some from a newer era, were showcased in Boise Sunday.
It was the 23rd annual Parking Lot Party to raise money for the Idaho State Veterans Home.
The Model 'A' and the Model 'T' clubs put the event on with 75 cars.
This is a steady fundraiser for Idaho veterans.
Event coordinator Phil Hawkins says this ensures that veterans are able to get out in the community and enjoy things like everyone else.
Whether its tickets to Boise Hawks games or the fair, this event helps them do that.
"They do everything that everyone else does out in the community," said Hawkins. "It's so our people can participate in activities outside of the home and enjoy being around other people."
Hawkins also says the veterans home is really special.
There are 37 World War II veterans living there, along with many other wartime heroes.
This event is a way to honor those heroes.
