A-10 'Warthogs' refuel over S. Idaho

An Idaho Air National Guard A-10, Thunderbolt II, from the 190th Fighter Squadron, Boise, Idaho departs after receiving fuel from a 151st Air Refueling Wing KC-135 during a training mission May 10 over southern Idaho. The 151st ARW routinely supports air operations across the western United States.

BOISE -- Several Idaho Air National Guard A-10 Thunderbolt II 'Warthog' pilots from the 190th Fighter Squadron completed a mid-air refueling training mission over southern Idaho on May 10th.

The A-10s are based out of Gowen Field in Boise. The fighter jets are popularly known as 'Warthogs'.

The fighters conducted the mission with the help of a KC-135 Stratotanker from the 151st Air Refueling Wing out of Salt Lake City, Utah.

In the attached photos, you can see the spectacular and rugged terrain of the Owyhee canyonlands and desert areas.
