04:15 PM MST on Saturday, November 22, 2008
ALBANY, Ore. -- A 29-year old Albany man is in the Linn County Jail on arson and other charges related to a September fire that destroyed a Lebanon pregnancy center.
David Allen Rios, arrested November 5 for a parole violation, is being held on counts of arson, burglary, theft by receiving and hindering prosecution.
David Willis, a spokesman for the Pregnancy Alternatives Center, said the fire destroyed the center's building.
Willis said the center is a 19-year old ministry that teaches nutrition, family budgeting, counseling, ultrasounds and parenting fundamentals to pregnant women.
Willis said the center, which completed a 3-year campaign in May to renovate the building, has moved to a temporary location in the same block.
