SPOKANE - Comparing the torture to level of a prisoner of war, a Spokane judge sentenced Jonathan Lytle to 75 years in prison for the brutal murder of his 4-year-old daughter Summer Phelps.

In November, jurors also found Lytle guilty on three aggravating factors: that he used deliberate cruelty, that the victim was especially vulnerable and that Lytle had a position of trust and authority that he used to carry out the crimes.

During the trial, Spokane County Medical Examiner Sally Aiken told jurors she observed 140 bruises and 106 abrasions on Phelps's scalp where her hair had been ripped out.
