A motorcyclist accused of riding down a Vancouver Island highway at 186 mph and posting the video on YouTube has surrendered.
Randy George Scott, 25, was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday on a charge of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
Police said Scott was the driver of a Yamaha sport bike with a video camera mounted behind the windshield.
The video, which has been viewed more than 1.1 million times since it was posted in April, shows the motorcycle zipping by and between cars.
Police say Scott was initially suspected, but they did not have enough evidence until earlier this month to charge him.
His mother, the owner of the motorcycle, reportedly has been issued nearly $1,500 in traffic tickets in connection with the incident.
