SAN FRANCISCO -- The search for a car that was stolen from a home where a retired schoolteacher was killed over the weekend in a usually tranquil suburb of San Francisco has come to an end outside of Seattle.

Authorities in King County, Washington say on Wednesday they arrested two people and recovered the car taken from the home of Susie Ko.

The 55-year-old Ko was found dead on the floor of her Hercules home by neighbors Friday.

Hercules police say the only thing that appeared to be missing from the home was the family's Subaru station wagon.

King County authorities say the stolen car was found after an officer ran a check on the license plate.

When police arrested the two occupants of the car, 24-year-old Darnell Washington and his wife, 25-year-old Tania Washington, they found the Washingtons were also wanted in the shooting of a Los Angeles County sheriff's deputy.
