No one was hurt when a pilot was forced to land a small plane in Interstate-5 traffic near Bellingham early Friday afternoon.
The Washington State Patrol says the pilot reported engine trouble shortly before landing near Baker View Road.
The plane hit a car on the way down, but no one was hurt.
The pilot managed to taxi off the freeway to a nearby gas station.
