PORTLAND -- A Portland couple who gained worldwide notoriety for a Valentine's Day naked bondage game that took place in a New Seasons parking lot has had their record cleared of any criminal wrongdoing.

Nikolas Alexander Harbar, 31, and Stephanie Morgan Pelzner, 26, had pleaded guilty in February to disorderly conduct and were given 16 hours of community service, which they have since completed.

Wednesday, a Multnomah County judge removed any record of the conviction.

"They understand that a woman sees what seems like a very unusual scene in the car, and as opposed to walking away and not doing anything about it, the woman has second thoughts and she ends up calling the police - they can understand that," attorney Adam Greenman said.

Harbar told police on Valentine's Day that he and Pelzner were role playing.

Shortly after noon, police converged on the New Seasons Market on North Interstate Avenue after receiving a report of a vehicle seen leaving the parking lot with a naked female tied up in the back with duct tape over her mouth.

According to police, a witness told officers that the driver of the car was a white male in his 20s, with a goatee and sunglasses and that the female "seemed hazy." The witness told police that the male stated they "were just having some fun."

The witness provided the license plate and police tracked the vehicle to a home in the 4300 block of Northeast 11th Avenue. Just before 1 p.m., the car was spotted by an officer returning to the home. An officer saw a bound and naked woman in the back of the car, and approached the driver.

"He said 'yeah, that's my girlfriend we're role playing for Valentine's Day," said Sgt. Pete Simpson, "and she was in the back naked tied up. And she confirmed it was all part of a role play."
