PORTLAND -- Two men police have dubbed "ninja and bandit" are responsible for stealing thousands of dollars in gift cards from a Portland business.

On September 30 at about 2:30 a.m., two men broke into Check Cash Pacific, at 418 SW 2nd Ave., and stole the gift cards, said Portland police Sgt. Pete Simpson.

He said the men also cut a hole in the wall and entered the neighboring Big Town Hero, but he did not say they stole anything from the sandwich shop.

The two were caught on camera. One was dubbed "The Ninja" because he was dressed in all black, including a face covering.

The other had a green bandanna covering the lower half of his face, and police have nicknamed him "The Bandit." He was also wearing a dark track jacket.

Anyone who recognizes either or both of these men is asked to call Sgt. Mike Frome at 503-823-0408.
