SPOKANE -- Spokane Police say a man who drove a car into a Spokane County Jail garage had stolen his mother's car.
Officers say Dustin Leeds, 31, drove the car into the parking lot of the Spokane County Courthouse Sunday, then over a curb and onto the sidewalk, avoiding barricades to prevent unauthorized traffic.
Police say Leeds drove the car into the Spokane County Jail's booking area, through a security door, hitting a wall and bringing the car to a stop.
Leeds was arrested for theft of a motor vehicle, 1st degree malicious mischief, and reckless endangerment.
Spokane Police report no employees or prisoners were in the area at the time and there were no injuries.
