RENTON, Wash. -- An elderly couple was found murdered in their Renton home Saturday night, now police have issued a warrant for their grandson’s arrest.
According to the King County Sheriff’s office, detectives believe Michael Boysen, 26, may have been the last person to see them alive Friday night.
They don't know if he’s involved with the crime, but he’s missing and police want him for questioning.
Friends identify the victims as Robert and Norma Taylor, who are both in their early 80s.
On Sunday, crime scene investigators combed through the Taylor home trying to figure out who killed and them and how they did it.
“I don’t even know what to say,” said Julius Tiangson, a neighbor who lives down the street.
Neighbors are stunned.
“It’s hard to believe this is actually happening in your own neighborhood,” said Tiangson.
According to police, the couple’s daughter last heard from them around 10pm Friday night.
Another family member became concerned when the Taylors didn’t answer the door Saturday and called their daughter. She went to check on them around 7pm Saturday and found their bodies.
“We have issues with theft and things like that but nothing to this degree, “said Doug Kinzig, a neighbor.
Police say there were no signs someone forced their way into the home.
“It’s unusual something like that had occurred without a break in,” said Melvin Char, a neighbor.
A 2001 Red Chrysler 300 is missing from the couple’s home. It has the Washington License Plate 046 XXU.
Police aren’t sure if Boysen has anything to do with the missing car, but do know he may have important information pertaining to the case.
Neighbors say he recently got out of jail.
“Somebody wasn’t happy there, sounds like the grandchild, but you don’t know,” said Kinzig.
Family members were at the home Sunday trying to make sense of the senseless crime.
“I hope they do find whoever is responsible,” said Tiangson.
Police are asking anyone who sees the missing vehicle to immediately call 911.
