NEWMAN LAKE, Wash. -- A horse is safe after getting stuck in a small creek near Newman Lake.  It happened just before 3 p.m. when two women were riding their horses.  One of the horses couldn't make it across the creek and got stuck.

The women tied a rope around the horse and tried to pull it out.  Firefighters later came and put a harness on the horse.  With a little coaching, they managed to pull the horse out.

Nobody was injured during the rescue.
