LIBERTY LAKE -- A 16 year old boy in Liberty Lake was booked into juvenile detention overnight for shining a laser at the Spokane County Sheriff's helicopter while it was in flight.
The chopper was up looking for a group of missing hikers, but had to stop because the laser light in the cockpit.
The helicopter crew led deputies on the ground to the home the light was coming from. That's where the boy was arrested.
The missing hikers, a 65 year old woman and three boys, were found after about four hours around 1:00 a.m. Thursday. We're told they're all okay and did not need medical treatment.
