BAKER CITY , Ore. -- The eastern Oregon soldier killed last week in Afghanistan was brought home to Baker City today.

Twenty-one-year-old Specialist Mabry Anders died last Monday in Kabul from injuries suffered from enemy small-arms fire.

Anders was a member of the 4th Brigade Combat Team, part of Fort Carson's 4th Infantry Division.

He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart posthumously.
