EVERETT, Wash. -- The Amber Alert for a missing Everett baby was canceled Friday after police found the missing child alive.
Police said doctors were treating the baby, who appeared to be in good health.
The Everett Police Department issued the Amber Alert around 9 p.m. Thursday to locate 31-year-old Roshell Marie Turner, who had given birth on January 27. Child Protective Services believed the newborn was in grave danger and needed immediate medical attention.
On Friday just after 1 p.m., police officers located Turner and the baby at an apartment in the 100 block of West Casino Road in Everett. Firefighters examined the baby and transported the child to a local hospital for treatment.
Turner was taken to the Everett Police Department, where she was being interviewed by officers.
The baby will be placed with Child Protective Services until officials determine where to place the child.
