VANCOUVER -- A driver at the Vancouver Benjamin Moore paint plant shot and killed his manager before turning the gun on himself Monday, police said.

Responding officers found Ryan Momeny, 45, dead of a gunshot wound in front of the Benjamin Moore Paint Co in the 1800 block of West Fourth Plain Boulevard around 11:30 a.m., according to spokeswoman Kim Kapp of the Vancouver Police Department.

Shortly after, police found Robert Brown, 64, dead inside a vehicle in the store's parking lot. He appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.

Momeny was the manager at Benjamin Moore, where Brown worked as a driver.

No one else was hurt in the incident, police said. Fruit Valley Elementary School was briefly put on lock down after the shooting and people who live and work in the area were warned to stay inside until around 1 p.m., when authorities said there was no longer a threat to the public.

Counselors were on scene to help workers deal with the tragedy.
