SPOKANE, Wash. -- Police have arrested 16-year-old Kenan Adams-Kinard less than a week after the alleged beating death of World War II veteran Delbert Belton.
Adams-Kinard is accused of killing 88-year-old Belton along with 16-year-old Demetrius Glenn. Police arrested him on First Degree Robbery and First Degree Murder warrants just after 3 a.m. Monday.
Authorities said Adams-Kinard was arrested in a basement apartment in Spokane without incident.
Police credited good investigative work and following up dozens of tips for the arrest of the suspect less than a week after the alleged fatal beating.
Police said they arrested several other people with Adams-Kinard for charges of rendering criminal assistance.
