SPOKANE, Wash. -- Family shared new information Thursday about the woman found dead in Nine Mile Falls earlier in the week.
Regan Jolley, 33, was strangled to death according to the Spokane County Medical Examiner. The Medical Examiner released autopsy results Thursday.
Jolley’s body was found Tuesday in a garage along the 14800 block of West Autumn Lane. Authorities said her body was in a tub of acid. Detectives believe she was killed Monday.
Jolley’s aunt, Jeanne Dobson, spoke to KREM 2 News and said her niece was a mother of two. Her sons are in protective custody according to her aunt. She went on to say that Jolley had just gotten out of rehab.
Dobson described her nieces as a wonderful person. She said she visited Jolley two weeks ago at the house where she died. Dobson said that Jolley’s boyfriend was acting “jittery.”
Jolley’s boyfriend, Jason Hart, is accused of killing her. Authorities arrested Hart Tuesday on the same property as the crime scene. Dobson said the two had been dating for about six weeks.
Hart, 27, faced a judge Wednesday. The judge set bail at $500,000 for the murder suspect.
On Wednesday, prosecutors described the murder as a case of domestic violence.
Witnesses told authorities that Hart and Jolley were fighting. A witness found the body in the garage according to court documents. Hart allegedly told the witness not to go in the garage because he “wouldn’t like what he’d find.”
Hart’s family told KREM 2 News that he was addicted to methamphetamine. His estranged-wife said Hart wanted to get help earlier this week.
The judge scheduled Hart’s arraignment for June 18th.
