EVERETT, Wash. -- Police arrested three female baristas at two Grab-n-Go coffee stands in Everett. The coffee stands are located at 2030 Broadway Avenue and 333 SW SE Everett Mall Way.

Detectives say a two month long investigation culminated with the arrest of the women, after they say they violated the city’s adult cabaret ordinance.

"Citizens complained that these locations served more than just coffee," said Lt. James Duff of the Everett Police Department.

Police said the women displayed ‘exhibition and exposure outside the law” and that they sometimes offered an intimate show instead of a drink.

Grab N’ Go made headlines back in 2009 after several baristas were arrested for prostitution. The case prompted changes in the city and Snohomish County codes.

Owner Bill Wheeler, Jr, denied the allegations Wednesday night.

“I don’t know exactly what this is all about,” Wheeler said. “If a girl does that, they’re fired on the spot. I have to do that because of the past."

It’s unclear if the women were booked into jail.
