SPOKANE, Wash. -- An argument over text messages lead one man to stab his former co-worker, according to the Spokane Police Department.
It happened around 3 a.m. Tuesday in the 700 block of East Longfellow near Northtown Mall.
Police say the people involved were fighting via text when one of them threatened to come over and stab the other. Cordon Pyeatt, 35, allegedly stabbed the victim in the head, arm and abdomen.
The victim, 28, was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
KREM 2 spoke with him exclusively after he was released Tuesday morning. He says the suspect hit him so hard, he didn't even realize he was bleeding. Doctors told him he's lucky to have only suffered minor injuries.
Spoke police tracked down Pyeatt shortly after. They say officers found two large knives on him. The suspect was booked into jail for first-degree assault.
