GATES, Ore. -- The body of a 5-year-old Keizer boy swept into the frigid Santiam River last month has been found.

Linn County deputies said Anthony Barkley Berlin, who fell into the North Santiam River on May 18, was found by a man fishing Friday about three miles downstream from where the boy fell in.

Berlin was fishing with his father at Niagara County Park when he fell into the river.  Eric Johnson, from Keizer, jumped in to save him and drowned in the attempt.

Rescue crews recovered the body of  the 22-year-old Johnson that afternoon, according to Linn County Sheriff Tim Mueller.

The area is about 40 miles east of Salem, near Gates.
