SPOKANE – The biggest shoe at Bloomsday won’t be on someone’s foot.
Local balloon artist Ryan Oelrich crafted a giant running shoe entirely out of balloons.
It’s the size of a mini-van.
The creation took 176 balloons and four hours to put together.
Oelrich made the shoe to promote Epilepsy awareness. Epilepsy is a neurological seizure disorder that Oelrich had as a child.
The shoe is on display at River Park Square through Sunday.
