Traffic/Road Closures:

The big 5k race begins at 9 a.m., but before that, the roads in the area will shut down to traffic while people prepare to hit the pavement.

  • ParkCenter Boulevard will close from Park Boulevard to East River Run Drive at 8:45 a.m.  This road will be shut down until 11 a.m. Saturday.
  • Boise Police will not be allowing anyone to park on Rossi Street between ParkCenter Boulevard and Leadville Avenue after 5 p.m. on Friday, May 6.  That road will reopen for parking on Saturday at noon.

Shuttle service:

If you would like to avoid driving and parking in the bustling area, there is a shuttle service you can use to your advantage.

  • All shuttles will run on 15 minute intervals unless otherwise noted.
  • The following departing shuttles begin to run at 7:45 a.m. and the last shuttle leaves at 8:30 a.m.
  • BSU Stadium, east parking lot
  • Fairgrounds, gate A
  • Outlet Mall
  • ParkCenter/Apple at Albertsons

The following returning shuttles begin to run at 10:30 a.m. and run until 11:45 a.m.

  • BSU Stadium, east parking lot
  • Fairgrounds, gate A -- shuttle runs at 10:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 11:45 a.m.*
  • Outlet Mall -- shuttle runs at 10:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 11:45 a.m.*
  • ParkCenter/Apple at Albertsons

Parking:

  • Boise State University will allow people to park in the east parking lot at Bronco Stadium.  Participants can either walk from there, or take the shuttle which will pick people up in that parking lot beginning at 7:45 a.m.
  • Parking is available in the old Oreida building (220 East Parkcenter Boulevard) parking lot for cancer survivors, volunteers, and/or those who need handicap assistance.  Availability in this parking lot is on a first come, first serve basis.  Due to the ParkCenter Boulevard road closure, people who park in this lot during the race will not be able to exit until the race is over.  Parking in the Oreida lot will be monitored and drivers must have someone in their party wearing a "survivor" shirt or volunteer parking pass in order to park in this area.

Donate:

If you cannot make it to the Race for a Cure, you can still help out by donating $10 by texting "7CARES" to 50555.
