KTVB to host debate between congressional candidates

Two candidates vying to represent Idaho in the U.S. House of Representatives took part in a heated debate Monday night.

BOISE -- KTVB will host a debate between the candidates vying for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives Monday night.

The debate between Republican U.S. Rep Raul Labrador and Democratic challenger James Piotrowski will air live beginning at 8 p.m.

Piotrowski, a first-time candidate, is a lawyer in Boise specializing in constitutional law, labor law, and disability rights. He lives in Eagle with his wife and two children.

Labrador, who is in his third term as representative for the 1st District, served in the Idaho Legislature before being elected to Congress in 2010. He serves on the Natural Resources and Judiciary committees, and lives in Eagle with his wife and five children.

The hour-long debate will be moderated by KTVB's own Dee Sarton and KTVB political analyst Jim Weatherby.

The debate will air on Idaho's Very Own 24/7 - that's channel 7.2 over the air and channel 13 on CableOne. The event will also stream live on KTVB.COM. 

The debate will replay on 24/7 Saturday, October 22 and Saturday, October 29 from 8 to 9 p.m.

You can can also watch it on KTVB/KTFT on Tuesday, October 18 from 9 to 10 p.m. and Saturday, November 5 from 7 to 8 p.m.
