U.S. Senate candidate shares his message

BOISE - U.S. Senate candidate Jerry Sturgill is running against Sen. Mike Crapo in November.

The Twin Falls native held a press conference at his campaign office in Boise Thursday morning.

The Democratic candidate shared why he decided to run for the Senate.

"Instead of serving the people our politicians tend to serve the people who have last donated to their campaign, the lobbyist who has last come in and written a check," said Sturgill.

Sturgill announced his candidacy back in March and has been traveling around the state meeting people and using social media to get the word out about his campaign.
