BOISE -- Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter says state Controller Donna Jones has been moved to a hospital rehabilitation facility as part of her recovery from injuries suffered in a traffic crash last month.
Otter opened Tuesday's Board of Examiners meeting with an update on the condition of Idaho's chief financial officer, saying Jones appears headed for a full recovery.
Jones suffered a broken neck and other injuries in a single-vehicle rollover on I-84 near Heyburn on May 25. She has been in a Boise hospital ever since.
The Spokesman-Review reports that Jones is crediting a seatbelt for saving her life.
Otter says the 73-year-old former lawmaker's recovery will take a long time. He says Jones is receiving intensive daily therapy, but is not yet ready to receive visitors.
