BOISE -- Gov. Butch Otter has appointed a lumber company owner from northern Idaho and a Magic Valley aviation company executive to vacancies on the Idaho Fish and Game Commission.
Otter announces the appointments Tuesday of Brad Corkill of Cataldo and Mark Doerr of Kimberly to the commission. Corkill is the owner of Whiteman Lumber Co, has a bachelor's degree in forest engineering and takes over for Tony McDermott of Sagle.
Doer is a pilot, flight instructor and owner of Precision Aviation Inc. in Twin Falls. He has a bachelor's degree in aviation and takes over for Joan Hurlock.
Hurlock's confirmation was rejected by the Idaho Senate earlier this year amid allegations of sexism and lack of hunting and fishing experience.
The commission sets policy for fishing and hunting in Idaho.
