BOISE -- Democrat Jimmy Farris raised less than $10,000 over the last two months for his 1st Congressional District campaign, leaving him with a pittance to spend on his underdog bid to topple Republican U.S. Rep. Raul Labrador.

According to a Federal Election Commission filing this week, Farris had $8,300 in his election account on June 30.

That's a shadow of Labrador's campaign riches, which totaled some $202,000 after raising $68,000 since April 26.

Democratic state Sen. Nicole LeFavour did significantly better than Farris -- and even topped Labrador's totals -- for her 2nd Congressional District run against seven-term Republican U.S. Rep. Mike Simpson.

LeFavour raised over $88,000.

That still pales compared to Simpson, who raised $193,000 and has nearly $200,000 sitting in his coffers for campaigning before the Nov. 6 vote.
