TWIN FALLS, Idaho -- A coin flip is scheduled for Tuesday to decide the winner of the Twin Falls Precinct 8 Republican committeeman seat.
Candidates Thomas Lowther and Don A. Zuck each tallied 75 votes at last Tuesday's primary election.
The Times-News reports that this is the second time in two years a coin flip will decide an election in Twin Falls County.
In 2010, the winner of the Republican precinct committeeman seat in Buhl had to be determined with a coin flip as stipulated by Idaho code in how to break tie votes.
Also, the race for mayor of the south-central Idaho town of Wendell came down to a coin flip in 2009.
