BOISE -- The 19-member board that will oversee Idaho's insurance exchange met for the first time Monday to review its role -- and exchange stories about an anonymous caller who threatened its members with a lawsuit.

The Spokesman-Review reports all panelists were called preceding Monday's meeting.

Stephen Weeg, interim chairman and a retired community health center leader from Pocatello, said the caller predicted the board would be sued within three months.

The exchange was the 2013 Legislature's most-debated issue, largely because it's a component of President Obama's health insurance overhaul some believe is a move toward a government-run, single-payer system.

Kevin Settles, a Boise restaurant owner who is also on the board, said his call originated in Florida.

Settles dubbed it "hilarious" and said he hasn't lost sleep over the threat.
