BOISE -- Boise Police say they don't believe a man whose body was found in a Boise yard Wednesday morning died from foul play.
A citizen walking by spotted the body near Longmont Avenue and Howe Street, off of Broadway Avenue and called 911, police say. Paramedics and police were dispatched to the scene at 9:25 a.m., according to investigators.
Boise Police Sgt. Justin Kendall said the dead man is in his late 50's, but declined to release his identity. It's unclear whether the man lived at the house where he was found.
Kendall said a death investigation is underway to determine what caused the man's death.
"We don't know the exact circumstances yet, that'll be pending a coroner's investigation," he said."Right now, there's no obvious or apparent signs of anything necessarily indicating foul play, though."
Neighbors say an ambulance and fire truck were called out to the house where the body was found Tuesday night. Police declined to say how long the body is believed to have been in the yard.
Investigators set up a small white tent to keep rain off the area where they were working. Longmont Avenue is currently blocked off between Warren and Howe streets.
"There's many deaths that we come out and investigate that end up being natural causes or no foul play, so the fact that we're out on this isn't necessarily out of the norm - that's standard for us, to make sure we're not missing something," Kendall said.
