Recent estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau show that Idaho's population growth is slowing down, but it still ranks as the 12th fastest growing state in the country.

The Census Bureau says Idaho's current growth rate, 1.2 percent, is the slowest it's been since the last recession in 2002.

Nationally, the growth rate stayed the same at 0.9 percent.

Idaho remains the 39th most populated state at a little over 1.5 million people.
