WASHINGTON (AP) — A group backing President Barack Obama's agenda is airing a national television ad to reinforce the president's economic agenda.

Organizing for Action was formed out of Obama's re-election campaign. The group says the 60-second ad will air on national cable TV for about two weeks, beginning Friday.

The ad features clips from Obama's economic speech Wednesday in Galesburg, Ill. Obama says American resilience has led to a strong foundation for durable growth. But he says the U.S. needs a long-term plan including a higher minimum wage, better access to pre-school and education, and less economic inequality.

The ad aims to magnify Obama's focus on the economy as he seeks the upper hand ahead of fiscal fights with Congress this fall over spending and the nation's debt limit.
