LOS ANGELES (AP) — Records show an arrest warrant was issued for a teen who escaped from an Orange County juvenile facility and now faces drunken driving charges in a Nevada crash that killed five family members.
The Los Angeles Times reports (http://lat.ms/Z6B2My) that law enforcement records show the warrant was issued for 18-year-old Jean Ervin Soriano on March 8. Seven days earlier, he fled from a facility operated by the Orange County Probation Department.
It's unclear whether anyone was looking for Soriano before the collision with a van last weekend on a freeway outside of Las Vegas. Three brothers, one of their wives and a girl were killed.
Soriano is expected to be in court Wednesday.
