WASHINGTON (AP) — The United States is planning to sell eight AH-64/D Apache helicopters to Indonesia.
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton says the sale will strengthen the U.S.-Indonesian partnership and improve efforts to maintain security in southeast Asia.
Clinton made the announcement after meetings with Indonesian Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa at the State Department.
She said she notified Congress of the deal Thursday.
